A gluten free diet plan

You have just found out that you have gluten intolerance. There is nothing you can do but to resign some products that you have been used to for so long. Now you know that they are the reason of your health problems, you surely don"t want to eat them any more. First of all, let"s focus on the grains that contain gluten. You will know what you ought to exclude from your diet plan. These grains are wheat, rye, oats, barley, triticale and malts. Read the labels carefully because they are found in products that you would normally expect to be gluten free such as ketchup or beer. Grains are the base of our dietary pyramid. What can you eat, then? Well, you still have something to choose from: rice, millet (which is fortunately becoming popular again), quinoa, buckwheat... these products are naturally gluten-free. Corn and amaranth, although they"re not really grains, are also rich in similar nutrients so try to include them in your diet plan. If possible, choose products that are labelled as gluten-free. If you child suffers from gluten intolerance, teach him or her what she should and shouldn"t eat when you"re not there to help. The earlier you teach your child these habits, the easier she will accept her new diet.
